F-Indulgence!

So i'm making a conscious effort to eat/ sleep/ breathe that little bit more fashion and came across this gem of a site!

http://www.cloutierremix.com/

The whole point of this internet search is to find out the shade of nail polish the Lea Michele is wearing in this month's Marie Claire magazine... mission not accomplished- anyone help!? Please!?

http://www.marieclaire.co.uk/celebrity/pictures/29545/0/lea-michele-glee-marie-claire-november-cover-shoot.html#stop

pps- even though I spent an hour on my nails yesterday after seeing this shot, they're now slightly shorter, more squared, yet missing this tres tres beautiful colour! Je suis desolee...

Wo-men?

Just finished reading this month's Elle Opinioon: 'Should women be acting more like men?' and my answer sans hesitation is a resounded yes!

When it comes to cliche's and adages- ie 'Behind every great man..' or the more apt 'No life without wife'- it's pretty clear who the better sex is so why shouldn't we be paid the same and treated the same be it in the office or the bedroom? Hell I'd even go as far as to say we deserve a pay rise in the life stakes purely for being the sacred baby vessels that we are destined to become!

My weekend job almost relies on my femininity to carry me through- not saying brains and common sense have little to do with it but in the field of hosting a good male is so rare to find... So with this in mind I tackle the door with all the wiles of a coyote on heat but the intent of Rooney's agent out for commision, resulting in partied out groups of men with deflated wallets and little else to show for it!

Off the field it's easy enough to sit back when the bill appears or stroke the bruised ego of a redundant partner all the while with baited breath that it wasn't your turn this time, on it is a little harder to grow a pair per se! Its something that we & I am definitely working on as the way i see it it's never too late to sprout a magnificent pair- by hook (surgically) or by crook!

Snog, Marry, Devoid!

Ok, I heart a good cheesy/ retro programme as much as the next person... ok if i'm honest a lot less as they generally make me turn into a female Jon Stewart.

Snog, Marry, Avoid is one of these targets! I mean, yeah the idea is there, the kitsch almost cringy setting is there (Seriously, a machine?!) but is there any need for some of Jenny Frosticle's faces/ over bearing prescence?!

E.G!! Current episode featuring aisleyne. Frost testing shaving foam vs conditioner... cue cringy duck pout to confirm that "Yep, i can honestly say that the conditioner is twice as smooth" BLAAAAH!

ps- orange legs/ fake tan much?!

Wonder wot tomorrow'll bring.. STILL not been brave enough to wear the all-in-one/ boiler suit that was found in River Island for a bragainous.......... £15!! Score!

Crank it up... times 2!

Dating and over!

He was lovely- muscly, older, slightly moody/ mysterious, own place and liked hangover Sundays on the couch watching semi-chick-flicks!

On the downside he was a dick.

You know those guys you get the impression you should maaaybe stay away from but always without fail run headfirst into? Well ladies and gents, welcome to my type!

Figured the other day what my type is exactly: boys i dont get. That doesnt make me sound different from any other girl (who gets any of them right!) but I currently have 2 boys who have the ability to turn me into a crank at the mere sight of them: one into the "omg I love him" type (whom I really do love) and the other into a "the cheeky bastard how dare he keep breathing!!" type (rose on occasion does play part in said reaction).

Twice in the space of 3days I've bumped into both: one looking hot on a night out (the Crank I love) and the other carrying heavy bags for work in my uniform (the Crank I loathe): I believe it's called "Sod's Law" or as I prefer in the words of Jersey Shore's Snookie "Fuck my life!! Seriously!".

Fingers crossed the next time I run into either I'm either driving, or he's come to his senses... In the meantime this glass of wine and Jersey Shore marathon will more than suffice...

pps: All Haute Everything features the one and only Nik from ANTM cycle 5- LOVES!

Boys Boys Boys.. We Loathe Them!

Aah the opposite sex. Mega pains that we somehow "can't live without"- Well I for one am pretty sure I can! For a while...

Don't get me wrong, they do come in handy for those boring Sunday/ Tuesday and sometimes Thursday nights when the telly is unbearable and all your fun single friends have become shacked up/ knitting old spinsters, but other than that I'm not quite sure why we always seem to have the same/ similar boy-typo's in our ex-files!

Checklist:

1. The guy I'll always have a 'thing' for:
- Never see him cue anxiety at thought of seeing him at the most inconvenient moments but never actually doing so
- Random appearances ie at the workplace (*a bar, he's not a stalker jeez!) which thanks to the nature of the workplace i'm always (relatively) prepared for although never stops the heartbeat speeding up and beady eyed glances to see which girls he's with..
- New gf every couple of months to make me feel like a relationship fluffer: we never got serious in a year and a bit yet 4months later you've bought her a car, introduced her to your parents and changed your FB relationship status...!!
- And then you tell me you're moving away for good. The end.

2) The flirt who declares his lust for you but never actually takes you out:
- tells you things he's "never told anyone before" on your first date
- your first date is on the couch watching films followed by PG 13 petting!
- every other "date" is spent pretty much the same way til its adult viewing
-then nothing.!

3) The one who insists he wants to take you out so u swap digits (not phone numbers- BB pins duh!) only for his every status to be about "smitten" "in love" with another girl....

4) The ones who you swap numbers with only to be bombarded with drunken calls and requests for picture messages, to his friends phone because his is "playing up"!

5) The jailbait (only slightly!) you give the benefit to and date twice only to be stunned with PDA's on 2nd date, glares and overprotectiveness at any males within proximity (including the bartender), unable to make his mind up about where to go/ what to eat/ as if its a form of endearment for "the lady" (its not. its just actually very annoying, mostly because I cant be bothered choosing!).
- Extreme case inclue constant texts asking "Why have you abandoned me?/ You promised you'd call/ I really really like you" (from experience!)

Now if anyone has mastered the skill for a cross between treat them mean and keep them as playthings and not (anything)-to-be's, I for one, would love to know... only so I can maximise my new toy to it's full potential!

9021-0h!

Erm AT LAST Liam and Naomi have got it together!

We all know it won't last though- Disney movie 'tis not, despite her perfect curls, pouty lips, south beach fat flush figure and his all round bad boy persona!

My prediction? Annie goes to rehab/ runs away, silver + Dixon cry then break up, Liam & Naomi start doing the dirty everywhere, Matthews becomes an alcoholic/ crack whore and Adrianna & Naveed bore off with their sentimental "I still love you"s!

Can't wait!

He's in Lurve with a stripper VS Glee gone wrong!

So last night decided to go on a slightly different night out and see a friend's band < TEQUILA LIPS > play in Liverpool city centre. Was all for it with the Sis and Stokey in tow so donned the moody black outfits and heels attire and headed out.

First stop, Alma da Cuba: for anyone who'se never been it's a fab converted church that has a tradition of Brazilian-carnival style dancers giving it their worth on an alter table before the midnight scattering of rose petals as a blessing!
We spotted a couple in desperate need of a room too! If that was a first date then he's in for a good time, slash STD check: striptease. in office wear. in a church. full of worshippers. showing your cheeks in your pencil skirt slit. oh and so discreetly moving your hand in your guys trousers... and who said the art of being a lady was dead! Check out Alma here (minus the Ho show!) : http://www.alma-de-cuba.com/

Onto the band venue, Zanzibar: cool space but in desperate need of heating/ air con/ moderate strerilisation BUT I guess that's the charm of a band place right! Supports were a little weak but once Tequila Lips came on (to "Arrrrriba" Mexican shouts) everyone was in swing and adjusting to the steam rising off our body heat. Good gig until the last "band"...

Clearly the Glee craze has err, gone crazy because after all thse cool bands came... a full Brass band. Yup, a brass band. About 20 uni kids, complete with conductor decided to open their set with a rendition of none other than cult classic Sesame Street. I kid you not.
I'm all for art appreciation but there's a time and place, needless to say this wasn't it, especially when your lead player announces in toff accents "Oh i'm faaar too drunk to be playing har har" and proceeds to jump around the stage drooling all over his trombone and shoving others out of the spotlight at every opp- think i'll stick to the TV production which is starting to wear thin anyway...

Buggin, Buggin Me!

I must have missed the memo telling the fashworld that tights are the new leggings.. and I'm damn glad I did because there is NO NEED for the amount of ladies butt cheeks I've been exposed to over the past few weeks wearing tights-and-tshirt combo as you would real pants!

When is it going to stop?! Please?

Keep Up/ Catch Up with the Model Midgets...

I'm pretty much completely obsessed with ANTM/ CNTM/ BNTM/ GNTM...err all of them really.. but been a little disappointed with the latest lot!

Term "midget" is used  in a non-offensive way (being one myself!) but only managed to watch a few episodes and have come to the following conclusions:

1. chip on shoulder about height does not make up for height..
2. crazy comes in small too, and
3. I wonder what else is on.....

Do find the ASOS cats amusing tho missing the Tigra model ads!

Catch up if you wish...

Wild Thang...

Cannot believe the coverage that Tiger Would (...do you too!) is gettin!! Jeeze! That sad-face all over tv today was actually sickening- just keep the cat in its cage you "douche"!!

Here's what the 18-holer had to say from his official site...

I pledge allegiance, to my wife...

TIGER WOODS: "Good morning, and thank you for joining me. Many of you in this room are my friends. Many of you in this room know me. Many of you have cheered for me or you've worked with me or you've supported me." (Err..does he think this is the inaugration?!)

"Elin and I have started the process of discussing the damage caused by my behavior. As Elin pointed out to me, my real apology to her will not come in the form of words; it will come from my behavior over time. (Chastity belt...though you'd probably just pick the lock..) We have a lot to discuss; however, what we say to each other will remain between the two of us."

"But still, I know I have bitterly disappointed all of you. I have made you question who I am and how I could have done the things I did. I am embarrassed that I have put you in this position."

"For all that I have done, I am so sorry."

Blah blah blah loads of hugs and respectful hand-shaking. Fair do's the man has made a public apology but sincerity has nothing to do with it- you got caught out now let's see if rehab can teach you to want to only sleep with one woman...erm...your wife.

Margherita...

nah, not the drink...or the pizza...actually, forget the whole boring/ plainness of a Margherita 'cos the one I mean just so happens to be a member of the infamous Missoni family that continue to bring us crazy prints and catwalks- and seems to be popping up EVERYWHERE!

Hope I didnt miss a memo along the way, but maybe I'll just keep an eye out for her outfits..so far not overly(under-ly?) impressed with what she wore to the Amfar New York Gala (as seen in this week's LOOK mag)- Any opinions?

Sonia Rykiel's Knits..Not!

Am I the only one not really too impressed with Sonia Rykiel's knitwear for H&M...?

Ok some of the images are kinda cute (ie above yellow jumper) and even though most of us can't actually afford the real deal Designer threads, isnt the idea to make it LOOK like we can? Those multi-coloured stripes look not only High Street, but also- dare I say it- cheap! To me this is a perfect example of merely buying into designers for the sake of owning the name- it's all meant to be affordable-yet-still-stylish, such as erm I dont know- Rykiel's lingerie collection for H&M (!!) which managed to look all chic and Parisian doll-like..so how have they got it so wrong this time and created mother-and-baby monstrosities!?

All i'm saying is baby-momma better be willing to hand over their gold if I spot these outfits around town...

Blag Friday...

So a little while ago in work we had a little run-in with a certain female singer from a certain group who since then, have decided to rename as 'The (blag) Fridays'...

On a completely different "blag Friday" decided to spend it shopping with my very own version of Winehouse, pre-Blake, post-vodka...

First stop, Zara. Not a usual choice, but hey, can't say I'd live to regret it! Venture towards the back perusing the rails only to be met with an unfamiliar voice saying "Oh my god, i'm soo ashamed!" in the way only a Scouse girl can. Turn to see said voice owned by plain looking yet flushed girl tackling a mannequin on a shelf a little too out of her reach: "I NEED to get this top off this mannequin- it's the last size Small and i love it!"-"It" was vile.

At this point, after bursting out laughing in her shiny face, we probably should have walked away. But again, put me and Wino together and trouble's got nothing on us!

Decided to aide the girl (yes, this was our better judgement!) by suggesting she "just take it down off the shelf, it'll be fine!"- She did (childsplay!) and continued to struggle with it while we took up separate posts guarding and keeping an eye out for 'sales advisors'. It was like a scene from a romcom seriously anyone watching would have known straight away three girls in a shop standing still and whistling/giggling was somewhat odd...

She eventually got the bloody thing off with our help and wise words ("You know wot, they probably had to take the arms off to get the top on- you shoud probably do that too") and looked immensely proud of herself while we continued perusing in fits of laughter. Right before she left, first rail we got to- her questionable top. On a hanger. In a size Small!!

Again I could have just laughed it off after watching this girl struggle for the better of 10minutes and finishing triumphant- but where's the fun in that!! Preceded to stroll over to her with item in hand to proudly declare "Aaah look what we've just found over there"- Cue beetroot red embarassment, "You're MESSSSSIN!!" (again, in the way only a scouse girl can) and a rush to the tills before being associated with the dismantled half naked manny, leaving us in hysterics! A picture had to be taken...

I just wish I could have taken another of her when we bumped into her 10minutes later in another shop, Zara bag in hand...

Loves...

The minor details!

7.40am walk to the station, mother strapping her kid into car seat and stops to check herself out in the mirror- it's at this point i realise- and she too should have- that she still had time to get back in and change! I cannot for the life of me understand how matching her regurgitated-pea green mondeo head-to-toe was EVER a good idea... lady, i know it's early but the fact that your child was howling shouldda given you a clue!

8am train to work, spots a girl running for said commute (aww, wonder if she'll make it...)- in a navy blue gypsy skirt (complete with flower on hip), beige pumps, cropped navy blue top, tan leather jacket and M&S bag.... now as we all know, Gypsy died a long time ago, albeit a rather long and slow death, it died all the same! And the only way to rock it is more boho, as opposed to hobo..oh and sunshine is a necessity, so lady- outfit was a baaad choice from the get-go! Ps- she made it... damn.

8.30am way out of station, a matronly woman in a fabulous outfit- paisley pencil skirt, button down pale yellow cardy, pearly and patent leather black heels! V. impressive....til she stepped off the escalator and decided the missing accessory to said near-perfect work-fit was a hobbit-style hunched over walk!! Totally killed it for me!

R.I.P. Alexander McQueen

Picture: web

Sad to hear of the death of  designer talented Lee 'Alexander' McQueen today who apparently committed suicide at his London home. A statement from the Alexander McQueen brand's office released today reads:

"On behalf of Lee McQueen's family, Alexander McQueen today announces the tragic news that Lee McQueen, the founder and designer of the Alexander McQueen brand has been found dead at his home.

At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with Lee's family.

Lee's family has asked for privacy in order to come to terms with this terrible news and we hope the media will respect this."

I'm amongst the few who would class themselves as an avid McQueen follower, however anyone who's anyone would recognise the iconic skull print as one of the most definitive works of the designer- not to mention a firm fashion staple across the world.

Most recently those armadillo shoes which shocked and were made to be admired rather than actually worn!

Anyone brave enough to experiment the way he did deserves to be honoured in the fashion world.

Looking forward to fitting tributes throughout London Fashion Week, which is due to start next week.

R.I.P. Mr McQueen...

Zara twins Burberry Prorsum's looks!

Happened to walk past Zara in Liverpool One this week and love their store window! Ruffles, lots of beige, safari, belts, gladiators, tuxedo fits, military jackets... need we need more!

Looks just like Burberry's collection...minus crippling price tag of ye average working shopaholic!

ANTM Quote of the day...

"Walk like it's for sale, and the rent is due tonight!" - The legendary, Miss Jay.

Is there ANY need for...

...the "hottest" new chick on the block Ke$ha?!

At least Courtney Love cared about her when she Tweeted:

"...she's being moulded into something not her that will fail. I want to save her. Sweetheart you make me go all maternal, I want to save you..."

Well, I feel the same C-Lo... if the same means that I cant stand her and wish someone would save her (and preferably silence her for eternity) so that we need never hear her screetching 'I'm pissin' in the Dom Perignon/ I threw up in the closet and I don't care' ...

Hilton (DEFINITELY) Rocked!

Last night was the official Hilton Rocks launch and it went down with a bang!

Bentleys, Limo's and Maybach's, doormen on patrol to check, check and double check if your name was on the list before making your way through to the huge entrance-hall-come-press-pit!

First spot of the night was 'baller Emile Heskey and WAG, then Alex Curran sipping on champagne at the bar with a group of friends followed not long after by Colleen and her gaggle.

Cricket owner Justine Mills threw round a few shapes on the dancefloor by the end of the night along with business partner Lorraine McCulloch.

Hollyoakers were out in force including newly-wed Kent Riley, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jessica Fox and Jennifer Metcalfe, taking full advantage (like the rest of us!) of the free bars set up everywhere in sight topped off with ice luges shaped in the Hilton logo, including Mojito bar!

Sugababes also performed a 45-minute set after the Cricket fashion showcase to top off the night- Jade Ewen particularly rocked it for me (and a certain newsreader!)!

AWKWARD MOMENT OF THE NIGHT!!! goes to...
the arrival of "buisness man" Will Rogers, Jennifer Metcalfe's ex who did the dirty on her after they split by doing a kiss and tell to a trashy tabloid! Niiiice!

Ok, so she did look a little Plain Jane next to LC in season 1 and 2 of the Hills, looked great by Season 3 then went all Fleiss-Allone on us by Season 5!

Miu Miaow!

A little twist on the otherwise predicatble take on 'Spring/Summer' - Miu Miu's gone for uniform colours (red, white and navy) but cute detail daisies and swallows, chunky platform and 70s heel instead of stripes- LOVES!

As seen in this week's £1 GRAZIA mag!

Barg-on of The Weekend Goes To...

...these beauties I picked up yesterday! Never go into Dorothy Perkins but was rather pleased with my little find!

The new D&G-eneration!

Hmm...replacing the King of tats and footy and the Queen of..erm..fashion and skinny with another tattooed footballer in the form of Christiano Ronaldo and Angelina Jolie-a-be Megan Fox...

Worthy contenders for the crown?

What an £80m baller could look like semi-naked for D&G vs 'look-at-me-i'm-sexy' actress semi-naked for D&G...

Icing on my cake!

Hardly describe myself as a 'girly' girl but loving Burberry Prorsum's ruffles and 'icing' dresses!

Apprently all you need to toughen up and transform is a skinny beige/ tan coloured belt, socks and huge platforms!

(Doesn't work with rain though!!!)

Here Comes The Girl...

Decided to take up this wonderful past-time they call 'Blogging'!

Anyone from Liverpool could tell you how amazing the place is (including myself!) but I'm bored of it at the moment so figured it was about time to bring in a new Pack to mix things up a bit!

Looking to organise events, shows, "socials, mixers, trips to the cape" (more Mersey, less cape!) So if you've got an idea on the kind of stuff you like to attend thats missing from the Liver, drop me a line (of the non white substanced kind!)... Same if you'd just like to know whats going on around town or have anything going on you'd like people to know about!

Just add a comment on the type of events you feel are missing and would be interested in going to and I'll get working on it!

Here's to the new Pack... @LARGE!
